Three-time Grammy nominated Cuban timba group Tiempo Libre is thrilled to perform for the first time at the Latitude Festival, named “the queen of arts festivals” by London’s Independent newspaper. It will certainly be an unforgettable weekend; jam packed with musical talent and awe-inspiring arts. Musicians will perform on four stages, the festival also includes elements of theatre, art, movies, comedy and literature.
Tiempo Libre is proud that there hasn't been a concert yet where people haven't danced in the aisles. Having played on Dancing with the Stars, at The Playboy Jazz Festival and on stages worldwide, the members of the Miami-based group have come a long way from their days as students studying in Cuba's rigorous music conservatories. Today they tour worldwide performing Cuban timba music. Be warned: their sound is infectious, their exuberance contagious and their beat will hijack your body from the waist down.
Tiempo Libre will perform high energy, dance-inducing timba music featuring songs from My Secret Radio, as well as selections from their three previously Grammy-nominated timba albums Bach in Havana, Lo Que Esperabas and Arroz Con Mango.
